Kasim Ansari brings the wild to screens as skilfully as he brings people into the wild. As a wildlife educator and Naturalist Explorers’ chief video editor, he lives in two worlds at once — behind the camera cutting the footage that tells NatEx’s stories, and out on the trail helping people fall in love with nature first-hand.
His fieldwork spans five to ten years across the Western Ghats, Deccan Plateau and coastal India, with bird surveys at Bandhavgarh and Nagzira Tiger Reserves and Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary to his name, along with school nature-trail programs and literature festivals. It was at Bandhavgarh, mid-survey, that he had his most unforgettable sighting: a female tiger with a fresh kill, a view that left him utterly transfixed.
How Kasim Ansari Connects People with Nature
Trained through a Young Naturalist Course and certified in first aid and lifeguarding, Kasim works with mixed-age groups on forest schools and urban birding. He loves busting the little myths people carry about the natural world, and his philosophy is as clear as it is heartfelt — people protect what they love, and his job is to give them reasons to love nature by sharing everything he knows.
